✦ Synopsis

Abstract

The autoxidation of a formazyl compound has been found to be specifically catalised by Zn^2^+. Cu^2^+, Ni^2^+, Co^2^+ and Cd^2^+ have no such effect. The reaction presumably takes place in an intermediate mixed complex with O~2~. It is partially inhibited by cyanide.
