✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A semi automatic titration apparatus is described with which microtitrations using about 1 mg of a compound of equivalent weight 300 may be carried out. A statistical analysis of the apparatus using benzoic acid as a test substance has been carried out with the following results concerning the accuracy of single determinations on the 95% confidence limit: pK: ± 0,07 units, equivalent weight: ± 4%.

## Abstract A buret is described, with which automatic or semi‐automatic microtitrations using about 10^−6^ equivalents of substance may be performed. Details for the construction of an automatic microtitrator are given.
## Abstract Apparent pK‐values have been determined for 56 aromatic acids in the solvent system methylcellosolve (80 wt.‐ %)/water (20 wt.‐ %) with a previously described fully automatic titration apparatus. The validity of the __Hammett__ equation was tested and found to express the experimental d
## Abstract Apparent pK‐values have been determined for benzoic acid, __trans__‐cinnamic acid, picric acid, o‐chloro‐benzoic acid, p‐nitro‐phenol, quinine, brucine, sym‐diphenyl‐guanidine, 1, 2, 3‐triphenyl‐guanidine and (−)‐ephedrine in the solvent systems methylcellosolve/water and dimethylformam
## Abstract It is shown that the determination of apparent pK‐values of aliphatic dicarboxylic acids in the nonaqueous solvent systems methylcellosolve/water and dimethylformamide/water by a previously described micromethod yields thermodynamically undefined values, which however show the same rela
