The hitherto unknown compounds inosine N(1)-oxide and inosine N(1)-oxide 5'monophosphate have been synthesized by deamination of adenosine N(1)-oxide and its monophosphate with nitrosyl chloride in dimethylformamide. This method is also useful for deamination of adenosine, adenosine 5'-monophosphate
Hexa-(n-propy1)-benzol
The dehalogenation of hexa‐(α‐bromoethyl)‐benzene with magnesium and methanol furnished a new hydrocarbon C~18~H~24~ in 29% yield.
