✦ Synopsis
Preparation of the glycolipid 12-0-(2'.3'.4'.6'.-tetraacetylglucopyranosyl)-ricinolic acid methylester Complex compounds of carbohydrates, fats and proteins show important physiological properties. Contrary to other components in foodstuffs the products from fats or fatty acids and carbohydrates, the subject of this paper, are studied not well. The aglycone of ricinolic acid is able to react with acetylated and brominated glucose to a corresponding D-glucoside in the presence of a hydrogen bromide catcher. The constitution of the glucosidated ester of ricinolic acid is described after chromatographic purification by usual instrumcntell methods (C,H analysis, optical rotation, 1R-and 'H-NMR spectroscopy).
