✦ Synopsis
Y-Ba-Cu-O (YBCO) based multflayers have been deposited independently by three techmques: laser ablauon, reverted cyhndncal target sputtenng and on-axas planar d.c magnetron sputtenng The last technique is used to cover umformly R-plane sapphire and LaA10 3 2 m wafers with YBCO or multllayers to produce optoelectromc devices such as IR detectors. Very thin (about 3 nm) yttna-stabdlzed zlrcoma and MgO dielectric films have been studied as tunnel bamers for making such high T c tunnel junctions '

A method to separate superconducting particles from sintered superconducting powder including non-superconducting components has been developed. It selects and condenses superconducting particles with making use of a force which acts on a particle in an inhomogenous magnetic field. The superconducti
Bulk Y-Ho-Ba-Cu-0 and Y-Gd-Ba-Cu-G samples, which were prepared by a "powder melting process" (PMP) method, have been investigated. The results indicate that J, can be improved and the melting temperature may be changed by Ho and Gd substitution. In our samples the field dependence of J. is rather w
