✦ Synopsis
Bulk Y-Ho-Ba-Cu-0 and Y-Gd-Ba-Cu-G samples, which were prepared by a "powder melting process" (PMP) method, have been investigated. The results indicate that J, can be improved and the melting temperature may be changed by Ho and Gd substitution. In our samples the field dependence of J. is rather weak.

A method to separate superconducting particles from sintered superconducting powder including non-superconducting components has been developed. It selects and condenses superconducting particles with making use of a force which acts on a particle in an inhomogenous magnetic field. The superconducti
