โœฆ Synopsis

Shear impedance in the frequency range 12-80 MHz, and density, viscosity and electrical conductivity of some CH NHCONH -NaSCN liquid mixtures were measured at different temperatures. The real parts of the complex mechanical 3 2 impedance and of the complex rigidity modulus were determined by employing the ultrasonic technique. Some mixtures showed the relaxation region fitted by the modified Barlow-Erginsav-Lamb (B.E.L.) model and shifted towards higher frequency in comparison to the Maxwell model.

The vibrationaI energy relaxation rates of the liquid nitrogen-CO system have been measured by optically pumping the collision-induced fundamentalvibrational absorption band of liquid Nz with the output of an HBr TEA laser. The vibrational relaxation of HCI in liquid xenon at -68ยฐC has been studied. Vibrationally excited HCI is created following UV photolysis of HCI. The rate of relaxation of HCl as a function of HCl mole fraction in liquid xenon is the same as the correspondingrate forgas phaseHCIat -68ยฐC. Similarly t
