The chemical e †ect on x-ray intensity ratios for Mo and Tc compounds was calculated with the discrete-Kb 2 /Ka variational Xa molecular orbital method. The calculated results are in qualitative agreement with the experimental values following radioactive decay of Tc isotopes.
