X-ray-induced photo-emission studies reveal that peaks in the valence-band occur at ca. 2.5,7 and I.3 eV below the Femi level, which is known from UV studies to be about 5.3 eV below the vacuum level These results agree well with the calculations of Bassini and Parravicini. '. ## ~.Vo3umt10,&&ex3

## Abstract X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was used to study the hydrolytic aging of polypropylene according to the pHs of degrading buffer solutions and the time of aging. The study was concentrated over periods of 3, 6, and 9 months for values of pH close to the real environments of use o
