X-ray-induced photo-emission studies reveal that peaks in the valence-band occur at ca. 2.5,7 and I.3 eV below the Femi level, which is known from UV studies to be about 5.3 eV below the vacuum level These results agree well with the calculations of Bassini and Parravicini.
