## Alpha -galactosylceramide, a glycosphingolipid, mediates interaction of dendritic cells (DCs) and NKT cells, leading to activation of both innate and acquired immunity. For cancer treatment, conventional DC-based vaccine has been tried, but its clinical efficacy is limited against liver cancer.
