The absolute configurations of the aliphatic secondary alcohols can be determined by NMR spectroscopy using only one enantiomer of the chiral anisotropic reagents, INMA and 2NMA.
Consistent relation was observed between the absolute configuration of seventeen aldonic acids and their lH NMR shifts induced by chiral propylenediaminetetraacetatoeuropium(Ii1) in aqueous solution. Recent advance in NMR methods for determining absolute configuration has made it possible to apply
