The product polarization for the beam-gas chemiluminescent reaction ,Ca( 1 So) + F2 ~ CaF(B 2 E+) + F is found to be vary by more than a factor of two over the B-X band system. This reveals a strong dependence of CaF(B) state alignment on vibrational level.
