β¦ Synopsis
Control of the vibrational coupling in two mechanically coupled GaAs micro-resonators is demonstrated. The coupling efficiency depends on the eigenfrequency difference between the resonators. While the fabrication results in the eigenfrequency difference of $ 1% due to the patterning error, frequency modulation by the laser irradiation via the photothermal effect can compensate for the initial difference and realize perfect tuning. The two coupled vibrational modes exhibit the avoided crossing with the adjustment of the laser power, indicating the tunable coupling in the micromechanical system.

## Abstract we propose a new scheme for monomode operation of microβring resonators utilizing vertical coupling. The scheme succeeds in suppressing higher order spatial modes by selectively exciting the fundamental mode of the ring. This is achieved by properly varying the material and waveguide pr
The paper is concerned with the resonance behaviour of a non-linear system composed of two parallel shafts coupled together by two mechanisms. It is shown that there is a significant qualitative influence of the motor time constants on the motor torque. At the resonance, two coexisting periodic attr
