Paichongding and Cycloxaprid are two novel neonicotinoids with good industrialization prospects for their high activity against imidacloprid-resistant pest. In this paper, the radiosynthesis of [ 3 H 2 ]-Paichongding and [ 3 H 2 ]-Cycloxaprid was achieved using a NaB 3 H 4 reduction. The title compo

β¦ Synopsis
The mucolytic agent bromhexine is useful in the evaluation of the performance of inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) as compared to radiolabelling. A prerequisite for this comparison is access to radiolabelled bromhexine. [ 3 H 2 ]bromhexine was synthesized in three steps introducing tritium in the final step by reduction of 2-amino-3,5-dibromo-N-methyl-N-cyclohexylbenzamide. Good chemical yields, high specific activity (54 Ci/mmol) and high radiochemical purity (98.5%) were achieved. Reduction with LiB 3 H 4 in dichloromethane proved to be very efficient and easy to handle.

Catalytic reduction of 3j3-hydroxyandrost-4-ene-l7-one (I) with tritium gas gave a mixture of 3B-hydroxy-5a-androstane-17-one (11) and 3~-hydroxy-5cc-androstane-l7-one ( 1 1 1 ) . Oxidation of compound 1 1 followed by alkaline equilibration resulted in 37 % loss of label from position 4. 5a-Androsta
