✦ Synopsis
Yellow crystals of the title compound, [Mn(dien) 2 ][Sb 4 S 7 ]Á-0.5H 2 O (dien = diethylenetriamine = C 4 H 13 N 3 ) were synthesized under solvothermal conditions by reacting MnSb 2 S 4 with pure dien. The Mn 2+ ion is in an octahedral environment of six N atoms of the tridentate dien molecules. The [Sb 4 S 7 ] 2À units, and anions are joined together to form two-dimensional layers. In the layered anion, Sb 2 S 2 , Sb 4 S 4 and Sb 8 S 8 heterorings are found.

In the title complex, [Mn(C 24 H 27 N 7 )](ClO 4 ) 2 , the Mn II ion is chelated by a tris [2-(2-pyridylmethyleneimino)ethyl]amine ligand, in a distorted octahedral coordination geometry. Weak C-HÁ Á ÁO interactions occur between the perchlorate anions and the Mn II complex cation. metal-organic pap
