The title compound, GaCl 3 ÁC 4 H 8 O, is isostructural with AlCl 3 ÁC 4 H 8 O. The molecule is located on a mirror plane, passing through the Ga atom, the O atom and one of the Cl atoms. All other atoms occupy general positions.
