✦ Synopsis

In the cation of the title compound, [Rh 2 Cl 3 (C 10 H 15 ) 2 ]BF 4 , two Rh( 5 -C 5 Me 5 ) fragments are linked by three bridging Cl atoms. Each rhodium center has a pseudo-octahedral coordination geometry, with a C 5 Me 5 group occupying three positions and three Cl atoms completing the coordination. The average RhÐCl bond length is 2.450 A Ê and the average RhÐ ClÐRh bond angle is 81.6 .
