✦ Synopsis

A Tri-band bow-tie antenna with overlapped arms is designed to operate at one of the GPS bands from 1.57042 GHz to 1.58042 GHz and the WLAN bands from 2.4 GHz to 2.5 GHz and 5.15 GHz to 5.83 GHz. The designed bow-tie antenna was fabricated and tested, showing good agreements with the simulation results. A method to generate and adjust the three bands of the antenna is also presented.

## Abstract A staircase bow‐tie monopole‐type antenna that features a novel broadband technique is investigated experimentally and numerically. A bandwidth of 77.1% (VSWR ≀ 2) can be achieved, and an omnidirectional radiation pattern is obtained. The electrical characteristics of the proposed anten

## Abstract A bow‐tie element with an orthogonal feed arrangement has been developed to conform to the shape of a handheld device. An improved method to feed the bow‐tie antenna was realised, which includes modification to the printed Roberts balun with stubs to provide an exact feed location and b
