A species which has the characteristics of shallowly trapped electrons, has been observed in an X-irradiated annezded methanol/water matrix. ?Ze species has a narrow slinglet ESR line iaH = 3.2 G) and is easily bleachable with Light OF wave- length 1000 nm. Furthermore, only 4 x lo3 h1 of the electr

✦ Synopsis
Trapped electrons produced in y-irradiated alkylamine glasses at 77OK have been observed by ESR and optical absorption. It has been found that a correlation exists between the ESR tinewidth and the wavelength of maxImum absorption in the optical spectrum. It is also shown tit the ErjR and optical results obtained are related to the type of amine.
