โœฆ Synopsis

Pulse radiolysis of deuterated aqueous

Liclglasses at temperatures in the range 6 K to 70 K show that the yield G(eiR) of infrared absorb-electrons (em) inaeases sharpIy as the temperature is lowered when [LEl] > 10 hf. Under these conditions the yield of visible absorbing electrons (e--,& decreases, but to a lesser extent. When [LiCl] =G 8 Xl, G(e-f$ and G(e&) are both much Iess dependent on temperature. These data west that at very low temperatures esnr are not trapped exclusively in a pureIy aqueous environment.
