## Abstract The preparation and single crystal growth of bis(tetrabutylammonium)bis(4,5βdithiolatoβ1,3βdithioleβ2βthione)copper, (I), are described. The energy gap Eg of (I) is about 2.38 eV. The nonlinear optical susceptibility Ο^(3)^ is about 1.3Γ10^β3^ esu at 1064 nm. The characterization of (I)
