✦ Synopsis

Copper and copper phthalocyanine (PC) deposited simultaneously on a substrate form a thin composite films with nanometric copper islands dispersed in the PC matrix. We have documented by the UV-V/S transmittance spectra, IR absorption spectra and conductivity measurements that by the metal inclusions we may influence the properties of the resulting films in wide range, offering a possibility of tailoring the properties.

The local mechanical properties of di †erent phases and grains in structural metallic alloys, composites and thin Ðlms determine their bulk properties and deformation behaviour. A nanoindenting atomic force microscope allows quantitative measurements of the local modulus of elasticity and the nanoha
