The thermod~~l~mic functions measured for the hexagonal r-Ti-0 solid solution indicate that the partial entropy of the oxygen atoms varies with solute composition in a manner very similar to an ideal interstitial solution possessing one interstitial site per solvent atom. It has been shown that this

✦ Synopsis
The TianCalvet microcalorimetric method has been applied to the determination at 1050-C of AH(O:). the partial molar enthalpy of mixing of oxygen in interstitial solutions titanium-oxygen for compositions (0 Ti) < 0.6. It was all the more interesting to apply this method as the low values of oxygen pressures in equilibrium with these solutions made the determination of thermodynamic properties difficult bl the usual methods.
The difficulties related to the study of dilute solutions and to the character of getter of titanium have been overcome. A general procedure has been perfected.
From measurements of Aff(O:) and from some hypotheses. AS(O:) in /3 and I solutions and AGO,) within fi field have been computed. An expression of Sieverts' law for /J solutions has been proposed.
