Measurements are reported on the thermal conductivity, 2, of various Cu, Ag and AI samples in the kelvin temperature range, as well as of Cu and of superconducting AI in the millikelvin temperature range. For Cu it was found that 2 oc T and there was agreement with the Wiedemann-Franz law. However,
