✦ Synopsis

Measurements are reported on the thermal conductivity, 2, of various Cu, Ag and AI samples in the kelvin temperature range, as well as of Cu and of superconducting AI in the millikelvin temperature range. For Cu it was found that 2 oc T and there was agreement with the Wiedemann-Franz law. However, substantial deviations from these 'standard expectations' were observed for Ag and AI. For superconducting AI it was observed that 2 oc T 2 at T < 0.08 K.

A time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau-type model of a superconducting-normal-superconducting junction is presented. The existence and the uniqueness of the solutions are proved. Dimensional analysis has been applied for the correlation of the thermal conductivity of a gas to its temperature, molecular weight, heat capacity, and critical constants. This approach indicates that the group k\*h/C, should be a function of zc and T,, where h = M1/aT,1/E/Poa/3. Experimental therm
