โœฆ Synopsis

Relative densities ฯ-ฯ 0 have been measured over an extended concentration range for aqueous solutions of glycylglycine and L-serine in the temperature range 298 (T /K) 423 and the pressure range 0.10 ( p/MPa) 30.00. Apparent molar volumes V m,ฯ† have been calculated from measured densities and have been used to estimate partial molar volumes at infinite dilution V 0 . Values of V 0 obtained for aqueous solutions of L-serine in water have been combined with previously reported V 0 values for aqueous solutions of glycine, to obtain estimates of serine side chain contributions to partial molar volumes over an extended temperature and pressure range. The reported volumetric data of glycylglycine have been used to calculate the partial molar volume change associated with the formation of a peptide bond.

An optically coupled vibrating tube densimeter has been used to measure the relative densities of aqueous solutions of L-alanine and sodium bromide in the ranges 397 T /K 521 and 10 p/MPa 30. For the solute L-alanine, the reported relative densities have been used to calculate apparent molar volumes

Isopiestic results for SrCl2(aq) and BaCl2(aq) were obtained at T = 498 K and T = 523 K. As a check on previously reported results for MgCl2(aq) (from T = 383 K to T = 473 K), new isopiestic measurements were made over the temperature range from 383 K to 523 K. The new measurements are slightly diff

A new vibrating-tube densimeter has been constructed for measuring the relative densities of fluid systems in the elevated temperature and pressure ranges 323 F TrK F 533 and 0.1 F prMPa F 40. The instrument utilizes a light beam in the collection of a signal and dispenses with the usual pick-up and

Apparent molar heat capacities have been determined for aqueous solutions of glycine at temperatures from 352.09 K to 470.63 K and glycylglycine at temperatures from 352.09 K to 423.15 K. Both systems were investigated at a pressure of 10.0 MPa. Measurements were performed with a differential flow c

Isopiestic molalities of aqueous solutions of Na 2 HPO 4 , K 2 HPO 4 , NaH 2 PO 4 , and KH 2 PO 4 have been measured at intervals from T = 383.15 K to T = 498.15 K, with NaCl (aq) as the isopiestic standard for the calculation of osmotic coefficients. Osmotic coefficients for these electrolytes, alr
