From Brazilian Phoebe oil (essential oil of Phoebe porosa Mez. syn. Oreodaphne porosa Mez.) over 100 constituents could be identified by 'H-NMR spectra and GC-MS. The main constituents are carquejyl acetate (24,2.1 YO), the sesquiterpenes a-copaene (29,5.6%), y-(56,3.5%), and 6-cadinene (59,3.1 YO),

The composition of turpentine from Pinus species has been extensively studied, but there is a comparative paucity of reports on the constituents of the needle oils. The availab
## Abstract The effects of steam flow rate (1.03 and 0.64 L/h( distillation time, and particle size (0.50, 1.00, 2.05 mm) of __Thymbra spicata__ on essential oil yield and sequence of extraction of compounds were studied. A logarithmic model fitted well to experimental data. The composition of the
GCΒ±MS analysis of the leaf oils of Porophyllum obscurum (Spreng.) D.C. showed the presence of 27 compounds. The main components were b-pinene (16.3%), b-caryophyllene (14.1%), trans-sabinene hydrate (12.8%) and undec-1-ene (12.4%).
