A spectroscopic study of the Ga-Hg excimer has been carried out for the first time. The vapor mixture excited by a RF discharge shows emission bands with an intensity maximum at 5020 Γ . The density of Hg in this study was in the range of 10 18 -10 19 atoms/cc and that of Ga about 10 11 atoms/cc. Hig

β¦ Synopsis
The rhenium mononitride radical has been produced in a molecular beam laser vaporization source and its laserinduced fluorescence spectrum has been observed in the 375-542 nm region. Sixteen new bands have been observed and rotational analyses have been carried out for 15 of these. The bands have been classified into several electronic systems based on 185 Re/ 187 Re isotopic shifts, DG(Β£ / 1 2 ) vibrational quanta, rotational constants, and excited state lifetimes. Three further bands were previously identified as belonging to the [23.8]1-X 0 / system. In addition to the ReN study, an examination of the rotationally resolved spectrum of ReO has shown that its ground state has VΠ Γ 5 2 . Electron configurations d 2 s 2 and d 3 s 2 have been proposed for the ground states of ReN and ReO, respectively. Possible electron configurations for the excited states of ReN have been identified.

The electronic spectrum of NiCN in the 500-630 nm region has been observed by laser-induced fluorescence, following the reaction of laser-ablated nickel atoms with cyanogen under free jet expansion conditions. Seven electronic states have been identified. Three of these, X1 2 5/2 , X2 2 3/2 , and W1
Fourier transform spectrum has been recorded of a H 2 O/D 2 O vapor mixture in the wavenumber range 16,300 to 22,800 cm -1 using a long path cell. 410 lines of HDO are assigned to the OH stretching overtone bands 5Ξ½ 3 , 6Ξ½ 3 and 7Ξ½ 3 plus combination bands. Assignments for the 6Ξ½ 3 and 7Ξ½ 3 bands re
The iron monocarbide radical (FeC) has been produced by the reaction of laser ablated Fe atoms with CH 4 , and its laserinduced florescence spectrum has been recorded in the region 15 000 to 23 800 cm -1 at a resolution of 0.04 to 0.06 cm -1 under supersonic jet-cooled conditions. Rotational analyse
A first analysis of an electronic spectrum of RhO is presented. The molecular species has been produced in a jet-cooled molecular beam following reaction in a laser ablation plasma. Laser excitation spectra have been recorded between 600 and 640 nm at 200 MHz resolution. Two transitions have been id
