โฆ Synopsis
A spectroscopic study of the Ga-Hg excimer has been carried out for the first time. The vapor mixture excited by a RF discharge shows emission bands with an intensity maximum at 5020 ร . The density of Hg in this study was in the range of 10 18 -10 19 atoms/cc and that of Ga about 10 11 atoms/cc. High-resolution spectra with a dispersion of 1.2 ร /mm were obtained, and vibrational structures were resolved and analyzed on the basis of a triatomic species HgGa 2 .

Eleven emission bands have been rotationally analyzed in the \(3000-2500 \AA\) spectral region and attributed as being due to transitions from the \(\dot{U}\) electronic state to vibronic levels of the \(\tilde{X}^{2} \Sigma^{+}\)ground state of \(\mathrm{C}_{2} \mathrm{H}\). Two new vibronic levels
The electronic spectrum of NiCN in the 500-630 nm region has been observed by laser-induced fluorescence, following the reaction of laser-ablated nickel atoms with cyanogen under free jet expansion conditions. Seven electronic states have been identified. Three of these, X1 2 5/2 , X2 2 3/2 , and W1
The visible electronic transitions of AuCl were observed at high resolution for the first time. The spectrum was recorded with the Fourier transform spectrometer associated with the McMath-Pierce solar telescope at Kitt Peak. The excited AuCl molecules were produced in a microwave discharge, with 4
The iron monocarbide radical (FeC) has been produced by the reaction of laser ablated Fe atoms with CH 4 , and its laserinduced florescence spectrum has been recorded in the region 15 000 to 23 800 cm -1 at a resolution of 0.04 to 0.06 cm -1 under supersonic jet-cooled conditions. Rotational analyse
