โฆ Synopsis
&ported are the vapo$ phase spectra Of Cr(CO)S, bIo(CO)+ w(CO)G at 300ยฐK in thk? VaCWm U.kIXviolet region 2200 -1250 A. Several new transitions are seen with preliminary interpretations in terms of a simple bond-exciton model and compared with some recent photoionization studies.

The VW spectra of methylvinylsilane and propylene are reported and corresponding transitions are assigned. The small red shift of the w-r\* transition and the Inve blue shift of the CT-O\* excitation of the methyl group in mcthylvinylsiianc may bc attributed to the +I inductive cffcct of silicon wit
The vacuum-ultraviolet spectra from 200 to 120 nm of BFJ, BC13 and BDrs are reported. Tentative assignments are made. The lowest frcqucncy band of DC13 and BBr3 can be assigned to a valence-shell transition of the ?I\* + n type. The second band can be described equnll?r well 3s a Rydberg tr~lsition
Two Rydberg series are found in the electronic absorption spectra of the three difluorobenzenes which conveige to the lowest ionization potential. Superimposed to the first ionization continuum bands belonging to a Rydberg series related to a higher IP are found. The problem of its assignment is dis
The vapor phase absorption spectra of PF 3, PFzCI, PFC12, and PC13 are reported in the vacuum ultraviolet spectral regicn 2400-1200 A. These results are compared with information obtained from photoelectron spectra. A brief discussion of the spectra in terms of analogous absorption regions and resul
