Die erste Totalsynthese des Spiro‐sesquiterpenes β‐Acorenol, ausgehend vom bekannten Cyclohex‐1‐enylessigsäureäthylester, wird beschrieben. Die Schlüsselstufe 2 → 3 + 4 verläuft über eine thermische intramolekulare En‐Reaktion.
