The standard molar energy of combustion of pure fullerene C60 was measured using a static-bomb isoperibolic macrocalorimeter: DcU°m = -(25965 2 12) kJ•mol -1 . This result was confirmed by recovery of carbon dioxide in the combustion products.
By using a conventional bomb calorimeter and a technique of burning pure C60 on a gram-scale in a mini-crucible, the standard massic energy of combustion of C60 was determined: Dcu°= -(36036.06 2 6.04) J•g -1 . The corresponding thermodynamic functions at T = 298.15 K were derived for C60: DcH°m(cr)
