By using a conventional bomb calorimeter and a technique of burning pure C60 on a gram-scale in a mini-crucible, the standard massic energy of combustion of C60 was determined: DcuΒ°= -(36036.06 2 6.04) Jβ’g -1 . The standard molar energy of combustion of pure fullerene C60 was measured using a static-bomb isoperibolic macrocalorimeter: DcUΒ°m = -(25965 2 12) kJβ’mol -1 . This result was confirmed by recovery of carbon dioxide in the combustion products.
