The keratin cytoskeleton of the wound epidermis of lizard limb (which does not regenerate) and tail (which regenerates) hase been studied by qualitative ultrastructural, immunocytochemical, and immunoblotting methods. The process of re-epithelialization is much shorter in the tail than in the limb.
