β¦ Synopsis
Absolute rate constants for the reaction OD + DNOJ have been determined at 297 + 2 K, using a pulsed laser photolysis-resonance absorption technique. The values (in cm3 mol-' s-l) obtained for DN03 alone and in the presence of 107 Torr SF, and at + 3a are (5.47 zb 0.75) x lo9 and (8.51+ 0.72) x lo9 respectively. The results indicate a significant pressure dependence of the rate constant and a large kinetic isotope effect, kn/ko= 13.8.

The effect of pressure on the rate constant of the OH + CO reaction has been measured for Ar, N,, and SF, over the pressure range 200-730 torr. All experiments were at room temperature. The method involved laser-induced fluorescence to measure steady-state OH concentrations in the 184.9 nm photolysi
