The totnl photoabsorption cross section of H-over the energy range from threshold to 50 eV has been computed using moment techniques from input generated from a configuration interaction caicubtion using only square integrable basis functions. โฆ Synopsis
The photoionization cross section of Hz is calculated from threshold to 30 eV. The initial state is the self-contistent-field ground state of Hz and the final states are the ground electronic state of Hi and single-center continuum states czkulnted in the field of Hi. Exchange and screening effects are included.

By means of a newly developed electron energy analyser. the ratio a(\*P3q2 j/o(\*P$) for 90" electron ejection has been directly measured for argon gas in the range O-0.050 eV above the respective 2P:n and 'PO tR photoionization thresholds. Pronounced spectral variation of the branching ratio is obs
We report measured partial cross sections for the fragments from dissociative photoionization of N 2 and O 2 over the photon energy range of 100 to 800 eV. The partial cross sections were found to follow a power law of the form (hn) 0a , where hn is the incident photon energy. The exponent, a, is sh
A small cross section for H+ (D+) production from He+ + Hz (Dz) reactions has been detected in ion beam collisioncell experiments. Below 7 eV (c m.) this cross section exhibits a positive energy dependence down to =l eV (c-m.). An inverse dependence is observed over the range 0.1-l eV (c-m.). Possib
