โฆ Synopsis
We report measured partial cross sections for the fragments from dissociative photoionization of N 2 and O 2 over the photon energy range of 100 to 800 eV. The partial cross sections were found to follow a power law of the form (hn) 0a , where hn is the incident photon energy. The exponent, a, is shown to be near 2.7 for N / 2 and for all N 2 partial cross sections above the nitrogen K-edge. An exponent of 3.0 was found for O / 2 and for all O 2 partial cross sections above the oxygen Kedge.
