M-y body pxtubation
theory is used to calcuhte on approximate Hnrtree-Fack photoionization cross section
for CH. The results show a large increae at threshold compared to that obtained from unperturkd atomic matrix elements. At higher energies the cross section approaches the atomic value.

The photoionization cross section of Hz is calculated from threshold to 30 eV. The initial state is the self-contistent-field ground state of Hz and the final states are the ground electronic state of Hi and single-center continuum states czkulnted in the field of Hi. Exchange and screening effects
