✦ Synopsis


of the r-nobilities of krypton ions in the p;lrcnt ps at 39.5 K have cstublished the existence of two atomic ions having dificrent mobilities. The data indimte that these ions ye the sound s!ate ion Kr'(ZP9,2) and the metastable ion Kr'(2P1,2). The mobility of the pound state ion is found to be lower by (3.3 5 0.2%) in the range 50 Q E/N < 85 Td-With the exception of helium all rare gas ions, X+(rzs' q5 where tz = 2 for neon,!2 = 3 for argon,
