## Abstract The HLB dependency for the solubilization of membrane proteins and adenylate cyclase activity from a plasma membrane‐enriched fraction from rat liver has been determined. The HLB (hydrophilic/lipophilic/balance) number of a detergent is an empirical measure of its relative hydrophobicit
