CH(A \*A-X %) emission was observed following multiple photon dissociation of ketene with an ArF laser. For rotational levels with N' from 14 to 19 the symmetric A component of the emission had higher intensity than the antisymmetric and the opposite was observed for levels with N' between 20 and 23
