The internal-friction peak due to the stress-induced migration of carbon in b.c.c. iron has been studied in a series of high-purity iron-carbon alloys with variations in grain size and intercarbide distance. It is found that when these microstructural parameters are small the height of the carbon da
## Abstract We studied the dependence of mutual position of substitutional nitrogen atoms on the diameter and helicity of carbon nanotubes by using a hybrid B3LYP method. It was found that nitrogen atoms prefer occupying the __para__‐site of a hexagon in armchair nanotubes and to be far apart in zi
