β¦ Synopsis
The (gas + liquid) critical temperature of a number of ethers, esters, and ketones are reported. These values, together with values reported by Quadri and Kudchadker, and Ambrose and co-workers provide a fully extended data set for the development of correlations for predicting the critical temperature of organic compounds containing carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. Values reported here are compared with values reported in the literature, and it is concluded that many older values, on which a number of predictive correlations are based, are incorrect.

A flow mixing calorimeter, followed by a vibrating tube densimeter, has been used to measure excess molar enthalpies H E m and excess molar volumes V E m of {xCO 2 + (1 -x)SF 6 }. Measurements over a range of mole fraction x have been made at the temperatures T = 302.15 K and T = 305.65 K at the pre
Flow calorimetric measurements of the excess molar enthalpy H E m for {xCO 2 + (1 -x) C 2 H 4 } are described. The measurements cover the range T = 260.95 K to T = 315.75 K at pressures from 3.5 MPa to 12.6 MPa. Liquid phase measurements were made at the pressure 11.0 MPa over the range T = 260.95 t
Enthalpy data on the formation of some solid and liquid phases in (sodium fluoride + aluminium fluoride) are presented. The new data are in disagreement with the enthalpy data found in the new edition of the NIST-JANAF Thermochemical Tables.
Excess molar volumes V E m have been calculated from measured density values over the whole composition range at T = 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure for six {N -methyl-2-pyrrolidinone + 1,1-dimethylethyl methyl ether, or dipropyl ether, or 1,1-dimethylpropyl methyl ether, or diisopropyl ether, or
