Sodium salts of cashew nut shell extracts (CNSL) and anacardic acids isolated from Anacardium occidentale demonstrate a potent antivectorial activity against Aedes aegypti larvae and Biomphalaria glabrata snails. The structure-activity relationship is discussed, particularly the hydrogenation of CNS
