. Measurements of resistance between 4 and 70 Kelvin reveal maxima as a function of temperature in fixed fields between 0 and 10.6 Tesla (106 kc). The maxima grow with field, and move up in temperature. Possible interpretations are proposed.

The Hall coefficient, magnetoresistance and electrical resiativity of an extremely hard carbon, namely glassy carbon developed by the Tokai Electrode Mfg. Applying the theories for resistivity of the amorphous and granular materials, the temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity of coals, heat treated at different temperatures, has been successfully explained in terms of structural parameters obtained by X-ray measurements.
