## Abstract A method of calculating elastic moduli of simple helical polymers on the basis of the Urey‐Bradley force field is presented. The calculated values for polyethylene and polytetrafluoroethylene are 3.4 × 10^12^ and 1.6 × 10^12^ dynes/cm.^2^, respectively. The former value is in agreement

## Abstract We have calculated the elastic modulus for polyethylene glycol. It has the magnitude of 4.5 × 10^10^ − 4.8 × 10^10^ dyne/cm.^2^ and it is smaller than the previously calculated values for (A)~__n__~ and (A~1~A~2~)~__n__~‐type polymers. The small magnitude is thought to be due to th
