## Abstract Die Monotosylierung der 1,6‐Anhydro‐β‐D‐mannofuranose (**1**) mit Tosylchlorid in Pyridin liefert hochselektiv das 5‐__O__‐Tosylat **2a** (79%). Daneben konnten in geringer Menge das 3‐__O__‐Monotosylat **3a** (0.4%) sowie die 2,5‐ und 3,5‐Di‐__O__‐tosylate **4a** (3.5%) bzw. **5a** (1.
