✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Prompt mixing of acetate buffered Iron(III) and ascorbic acid solutions results in the formation of a short‐lived colored [Fe~3~Ac~6~O] Asc complex showing a maximum absorbance at 550 nm. Mathematical analysis of the kinetics curves allows the elaboration of analytical procedures for the manual and automated determination of Iron(III) and vitamine C in a concentration range 0,1‐100 ppm and 1‐2000 ppm respectively.
