## Abstract The synthesis of [1,3β^14^C~2~]βglyceryl trinitrate (^14^C]βGTN) labelled with quasi carrier free carbonβ14 atom in the 1,3βpositions of the molecule was effected in four reaction steps from ^14^CO~2~ (3,5 % overall yield). The chemical and radiochemical purity of [^14^C]βGTN was found
